Rusinow Leads - A method using the lead of the second highest ranking card from touching honors, as opposed the the standard treatment of leading the top of touching honors.  Rusinow Leads are generally used only on the first trick, particularly against opponents' suit contract when partner has been silent throughout the auction.

When opponents' play a Notrump contract, players seldom use Rusinow Leads since defenders have different strategies.
