Stolen Bid Double (Shadow Double,
Double of a Cuebid) - A
double of Right Hand Opponent's bid suit, indicating the doubler would have bid the suit if
not "stolen" by their Right Hand Opponent. This approach is part of
the "systems on" methodology. Conventional treatment of a
double is alertable. Here a few illustrative examples:
