Overtaking
Squeeze - Overtaking Squeeze - A variation of the Triple
Squeeze, where LHO's discard determines which suit/s to pitch or play from the
other hand.
South needs 2 more tricks and
leads the CQ and West is squeezed in three suits. If West
discards a major, the Club is ducked in dummy playing the C5 as
declarer continues by leading the suit West discarded.
However, should
West discard the DQ, the Declarer will overtake with the CK and
follow with the DQ.
