The English Bridge Union
- The English Bridge Union (EBU), made up of 39 constituent County
Associations, is a membership-funded organisation committed to promoting the
game of duplicate bridge. It is also a National Bridge Organisation in its
own right affiliated to the European Bridge League and the World Bridge
Federation. Currently, the EBU has 998 affiliated clubs and an
individual player membership of 29,685 (1,936 Bridge for All students).
Within the EBU affiliated clubs it is estimated that there are some 90,000
players. In addition it is estimated that there are a further 2,000
unaffiliated clubs with an unknown membership. We need to be
attractive and, above all, welcoming. Mission statement: " To
actively encourage participation in bridge and strive to increase our
membership through the delivery of quality and friendly services."
